Privacy

No accounts, no cookies of our own, no analytics. What you write in a form stays on your device, unless you send the feedback form by email.

What stays on your device

  • Your answers to the forms, such as My starting point or My week, are saved in your browser on this device, so that you can come back to them. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. On each form, “Delete my answers” removes them. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes them too.
  • Standing or sitting: on an exercise page, your choice is remembered on this device, so that the next exercise shows the same way.
  • Where you stopped reading: the toolkit remembers the last part of a module you read on this device, so that its first page can take you back there.
  • Display settings: if you choose larger text, higher contrast or more space between lines, your choice is remembered on this device.

If other people use the same phone or computer, they can see these answers. Delete them when you have finished.

Server records and visitor numbers

Like every website, the server that holds this site records each request: the address of the device (IP address), the page, the time and the browser. FURIM uses these records only to count visitors and downloads for the project’s reports. The site has no analytics script and sets no cookies.

The site is hosted by Mobile Adventure Sp. z o.o. (MOBAD), a VITALITY partner in Poland. The server records are kept for 100 days and then deleted.

Videos

The videos are kept at Vimeo, a video service in the United States. A page with a video shows a picture and a “Play video” button, and both come from this site. Nothing is loaded from Vimeo until you press the button.

When you press “Play video”, the player comes from Vimeo. Vimeo then sees the address of your device (IP address), your browser, and that the video is played on this site.

  • The player is set to “do not track”. Vimeo says that with this setting the player does not follow what you watch and keeps no viewing statistics.
  • Vimeo still sets one cookie, which protects its service against automated misuse. It lasts about 30 minutes.
  • Vimeo’s own privacy rules apply to what it receives: vimeo.com/privacy.

You do not need Vimeo to use the toolkit. The words of every video are on its page, with the exercises it shows. The five longer videos can also be played or downloaded as sound from this site.

Feedback by email

The form Tell us what you think opens your own email app with your answers filled in. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself. Before your email app opens, you tick a box to say that you understand how FURIM uses it.

  • Your email goes to FURIM at info@furim.no, so FURIM sees your email address.
  • Only FURIM staff read feedback emails.
  • FURIM keeps your answers without your name or email address and uses them only to improve the toolkit.
  • FURIM deletes each email within one month, once your answers are kept without your name.

If you do not want FURIM to see your email address and you are in a group, give a paper form without your name to the person who runs it.

Other emails

If you write to info@furim.no, FURIM uses your email only to answer you. It keeps such emails only as long as it needs them to answer you.

Some pages link to other websites, such as the sources of the toolkit and the partner organisations. Those websites have their own privacy rules.

Who is responsible

FURIM INSTITUTT, which leads VITALITY, is responsible for this website. Its details are on the Imprint page. Write to info@furim.no with any question about your data.

You can ask FURIM what it holds about you, and ask it to correct or delete it. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no). If you live in another country of the EU or the EEA, you can also complain to the data protection authority there.
