About the project
VITALITY makes a free toolkit that helps women from low-income, migrant and refugee backgrounds to move more, in ways that fit their lives.
- Duration
- 15 months
- 1 October 2025 to 31 December 2026
- Partners
- 3 organisations
- Norway, Poland and Türkiye
- EU grant
- EUR 60,000
- Erasmus+ Sport, small-scale partnerships
Who it is for
Women aged 30 to 50 from low-income, migrant or refugee backgrounds who are not very active today, and the community workers, volunteers and trainers who work with them. Anyone is welcome to use the toolkit.
What often stands in the way
- Cost
- Gyms, classes and equipment cost money.
- Time
- Work and family leave little time, often at the hours when classes run.
- Comfort
- Mixed or competitive sport does not feel right.
- Familiarity
- The activities on offer feel unfamiliar.
- Information
- News about local services does not reach them, or not in their language.
What the toolkit gives you
Ten modules, from a first check of how active you are to keeping going over the months.
Free, no account
Open it and start. There is nothing to sign up for.
Open licence
Anyone can copy and adapt it under CC BY-SA 4.0, except the parts marked otherwise.
No special equipment
The exercises need little space and no gym.
Phone and paper
Read it here, listen to it, or download it as a PDF to print.
Pictures, sound and video
Drawings show how to do every exercise, every module can be listened to, and videos with captions talk you through the routines.
Use it with a group
A guide helps community leaders and volunteers run sessions.
How we work
Some women did not want to be photographed or filmed. So VITALITY uses drawings instead of photos, and nobody has to be on camera to take part.
We learned this in the partners' first activities with migrant associations and migrant women's groups.
