Speaker 1:Hello, and welcome to VITALITY, a sport project for women, co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+.
Speaker 2:This short talk is about what to do when life gets in the way. It takes about two minutes.
Speaker 1:Sometimes it is hard to keep going. A child is ill. Work changes.
Speaker 2:It is too cold, or too hot. You feel tired, or sad.
Speaker 1:Maybe you have not moved for a week, or a month.
Speaker 2:This happens to many people. Stopping and starting again is normal.
Speaker 1:It does not mean you have failed.
Speaker 2:So what can help?
Speaker 1:Make your step smaller. If thirty minutes is too much, try five.
Speaker 2:And if five minutes is too much, try one song.
Speaker 1:Keep a small plan for busy weeks. For example: five minutes of stretching before bed.
Speaker 2:You can also move at home. March on the spot while the water boils.
Speaker 1:Or dance to one song you love.
Speaker 2:If you fast, keep your activity gentle. A good time is near the end of the day, shortly before you can eat and drink again.
Speaker 1:If you are unwell, rest. When you feel better, start again gently.
Speaker 2:And if you are worried about your health, talk to a health professional.
Speaker 1:Think about what helped you before. What made it easier? Can you do that again?
Speaker 2:And ask for help. A friend, a neighbour or a group can make it easier to keep going.
Speaker 1:You can start again at any time, with one small step.
Speaker 2:Thank you for listening.
